Your choice on this device
You can change your answer here at any time. It applies to this browser on this device; answer again elsewhere if you use more than one.
What we store today
SalonKoi sets no cookies of its own. Signing in stores one item in your browser’s local storage:
- Your session token — proves to our API that requests are yours, so you stay signed in as you move between pages. Strictly necessary: without it you would have to sign in on every page, and it is removed the moment you sign out.
- Your cookie answer — remembers what you chose here, so the banner does not ask again on every visit.
Neither is used to track you, and neither leaves your device except the session token, which is sent to our own API to authorise your requests.
Advertising cookies
SalonKoi is free to use and is funded by advertising. When advertising is switched on, ads are served by Google AdSense, which may set cookies on your device to measure ad performance, limit how often you see the same ad, and — where you allow it — personalise which ads you see. Those cookies are set by Google, not by us, and Google’s use of them is governed by its own policies.
Advertising is not yet enabled on this site. The ad areas you may see are reserved placeholders that load nothing. When ads do go live, they will only load for visitors who chose “Accept” above; choosing “Reject” keeps them off, and every other part of SalonKoi works exactly the same either way.
You can also manage ad personalisation directly with Google at adssettings.google.com.
Where ads appear — and where they never will
Ads are limited to browsing pages: the home page, salon listings, salon profiles, your booking history and the booking confirmation. They are always labelled “Advertisement”.
We never place ads on the sign-in and registration pages, the booking form, the password reset pages, the salon and admin dashboards, or these policy pages.
Blocking cookies yourself
Every major browser can block or delete cookies and site data from its settings, and clearing site data for SalonKoi will also clear your session token and your answer above — you will be signed out and the banner will ask again. Blocking cookies does not stop you booking.
